When mom and I were doing planning on what she wanted for her newborn photo session, she mentioned winter. Her baby was due in January and snow is something everyone enjoys seeing. Hopefully covering the grass and not the roads. I recently purchased the pine backdrop and absolutely love it! It is great for snowy winter scenes and it adds colors. The snowflakes are actually left over from my wedding centerpieces. I had a winter wedding and recently came across the bag of the flakes. I am so glad I kept them. I hung them on clear coat thread from the ceiling to create a 3D snowflake look to the scene.
Mom said she had a deer outfit for photos and I figured it would be really cute in this set up. The little man was not easy to pose as he has a strong mind of what he does and does not care for. His cord fell off earlier the day of his session so he was rather sensitive in that area. The soft fur really helped him. This position worked as you could see the parts of his hat and the cute little deer tail.
I used the snowflakes scattered around the floor as a change up to his new years set up without moving the baby. It is a transition and baby stays nice and warm and asleep. I also changed my angle and shot from above.
