I love this session. It was the middle of May and we had warm days and it was still early for bugs. Therefore, we didn’t have to worry about bug spray doing Julianne’s maternity session in the wildflower fields. It was a concern for me as bugs love me and I am sure I would have attracted them all and kept mom bite free.
We were coming out of a spring “heat wave” where the temps were hitting upper 80s. As a result, I wasn’t sure how mom would feel the heat that evening being towards the end of her pregnancy. What a gorgeous evening! More importantly, we also managed to get her session done just in time as her baby girl arrived 9 days later. Stay tuned for that session. I finished up editing their maternity session the day her daughter chose her birthday.
This was taken at a local wildflower field in Lancaster County PA. There are wheat fields, wildflower fields, and a great view. There is a full view of sunset here, which with the light it blocked out the view. Therefore, it added a haze in the camera but it is amazing to see it. This is a private location and I met with the owner who gave me a tour of the area we could use. They were not officially open until June and I am glad I contacted him and some flowers were blooming. Baby girl wasn’t waiting.
Mom had her son before her maternity session with him so I was so glad she was able to accomplish this for her daughter. These photos are great and I want to share them all with you. I wont, but a lot of them I will show you anyway. Mom was been busy having her daughter so I don’t believe she has seen all of her sneak peeks. As I sent her images to be printed, I did wonder if she would be able to enjoy them before her daughter arrived. Little did I know, that she was in labor as I sent them off.
The one image I did play around with and made it more into an evening image with lightning bugs. They are my favorite insect so I am really partial to the edit.
