Michael’s Airplane Cake Smash

I love this set up for Michael’s airplane cake smash theme. I did airplanes for my son’s nursery and his first birthday. Therefore I raided his room for some airplanes to use in the set up. Since I couldn’t find clouds that I had in my mind for this smash, I had to make my own.

Michael was a pretty serious fellow for his smash and portraits. However, every once in a while he would make a goofy face or expression and I caught it. Michael also has dimples, but he kept them hidden from me. I caught only glimpses of them.

Michael wasn’t too interested in his cake, but these airplanes and their propellers that spun caught his focus. Little boys love things that move. When mom pulled out his little pilot cap and stuck it on Michael’s head, it was just the cutest thing! Mom wasn’t sure if he would keep it on but he did really well with it!
