COVID lock down threw so many session plans out the window. The Knights and I were fighting to keep this session happening. When they booked it, Dad was going off to training for the military and we had a deadline to do a session. With no ease up of the restrictions for our county, their session date just kept getting pushed back. Luckily for us, Dad’s training was canceled and we had more wiggle room to fit in photos. However, our original location was at Masonic in Elizabethtown so we had to go with our backup of the Lancaster County Park.
With Lancaster County being more lenient and realizing the lack of legal authority Governor Wolf had, I was able to safely conduct an outdoor maternity session wearing mask and a long lens. A local state police officer even photo bombed one of our pictures as he hurried through the background. He gave a friendly wave and off he went.
Now we are in the waiting game for baby #2 to arrive! Dad is home and hopefully his training isn’t rescheduled around the due date so he can be there. I photographed Nikki’s maternity session with her son Cian at Masonic and she wanted to wear the same gown for this son. I still love that she picked this bold color. It looks so good on her.
Photo sessions with toddlers is always an anything goes type. Cian ruled the photoshoot on how and when we would do family images. He loves nature so he was off exploring with Grandpa while we took photos. He would pop in, we would take some family, and off he would go again. Keeping everyone happy is the goal. However, I did get a blooper and yes, if there is a great blooper or funny moment from your session, I do give it to you.
