Sweet Kennedi was a wide awake newborn for her family portraits and part of the start of her session. She eventually gave in to sleep after getting to know me and what I was doing. She was a curious girl and wasn’t too sure of me. Mom picked out pastel colors for her session and I think my favorite color on Kennedi was the lavender. She even cracked some smiles while wrapped up snug as a bug.
Since Kennedi was such a heavy sleeper by the time I got to my blanket posing, I did an extra set up on a new black backdrop. At this point, I wanted to keep her and take Kennedi’s photos all day.
The day before Kennedi’s session, I quickly sewed up a gingerbread printed romper. I had the fabric for 2 years before I finally had a baby in at Christmas time. I love that series of photos with Kennedi who was a perfect model for my “okay” sewing skills. She made it look good all curled up asleep.
