High School Senior Photography | Lancaster, PA
High School Senior Photography is said to be the most fun to shoot. You hear of the main ones, weddings and newborn photographers; most preferring to do either wedding or newborns. There are a select few who specialize in high school senior portraiture as they love it so.
Photographers are naturally personable as we get to interact with our clients. Clients trust us to make memories of that wedding day, or capture the first moments of a newborn. A high schooler’s senior year is a special and exciting moment in a teenagers life. It is the launching pad where they make decisions determining how their future will play out. I wanted to have the opportunity to try it out myself. Many mom’s have come to me asking if I do senior portraits and at the time, I said that I did not. However, that has changed.
I am blessed to have found a group of amazing supportive photographers. We all congregate on a Facebook group. We started to take the Tribe out into the real world and get back to knowing each other in person and not our online personality. We have monthly meet ups where we have a photo shoot and dinner. As a result, get to know each other, our specialties and learn from each other. Newer photographers and veterans alike. Our monthly meet up shoot might not be your focus as a photographer, therefore it allows you to try new things and learn from others that have it as a forte.
July Photographer Meet Up
Our July meet up was a shoot with children. I have a lot of experience in photographing younger children. When another local photographer brought her high schooler, I was able to get out of my normal routine. High Schoolers know how to look good. In a selfie world, they are on top of their game. I loved capturing the few photos I did at out meetup. So much that I am going to start offering senior portrait photography here in Central PA.
These were taken at our local community flower field in Lititz PA. This has been such a wonderful draw for the community and photographers. Such beauty combined with amazing sunsets provides with a lovely setting for portraits. It was planted by a local owner who openned his field up for neighbors to enjoy by walking among the flowers and taking photos. You can check out the write up in the local newspaper from LNP.
As great as this field is, this high schooler is a snowboarder. I would love to get her in a more urban setting as a second location. She is local to Berks County. She is a gorgeous young lady.
